1. What kind of gold do you accept?
At Got Gold Get Cash we buy all of your unwanted, damaged or broken gold. Please visit the what we buy link to see what types of items we regularly buy from customers.
A Goldpak includes an information leaflet detailing hwo simple it is to sell your gold. It also includes a prepaid Special Delivery envelope to allow you to post your gold to us free of charge. This is fully insured up to £500. (See Q4)
Yes and the best part is that you are under no obligation to send us your gold once you have requested your Goldpak. The Goldpak contains a prepaid envelope for you to send us your gold by Special Delivery at the post office.
4. Is the Goldpak insured in case it gets lost/damaged in the post?
Yes. Your GoldPak is insured for up to £500 providing you return your gold to us using the Free Special Delivery Envelope included. Any claim however must be made direct to the Royal Mail. For further information please feel free to contact us.

7. What should I do if the value of my gold exceeds £500?
If your gold items exceed £500 in value we recommend that you either:
- Seperate your gold and apply for another GoldPak or
- Pay an extra insurance fee at your local Post Office.
If you have one item that has a value of over £500 we recommend that you speak to your local Post Office to ensure that your item is fuly insured.
8. How will I know if you have received my gold/jewellery?
An email will be sent to you keeping you informed at every step of the process. You can also check the progress of your application at any time by entering your unique reference number in the Track Your Pack link.
9. How much will you pay for my gold?
Ramsdens are determined to pay you the highest amount for your gold. To see how much you would get for your gold please use the calculator on the left.
10. Do I have to wait for the Goldpak or can I use my own packaging?
If you would prefer not to wait for your Goldpak you can send your gold to us in your packaging. We do suggest that for your peace of mind that you use Royal Mail's Special Delivery service.
11. Do you accept unhallmarked gold?
We buy all gold whether it is hallmarked or not. Our expert advisors will test the carat and weight of the gold and issue a cheque based on this. For more information please contact us on 01642 818525.

Yes. The gold calculator however gives a price for the weight only. If you would like to discuss selling your diamond rings, please contact us and we will be glad to advise you of how best to proceed.
17. What if I do not know the weight of my gold?
Request a Goldpak, when this arrives simply leave the weight option blank and we will contact you with a price. We guarantee to pay the best price available for your gold. If however you are unhappy with the amount offered then your gold will be returned to you at our cost. Satisfaction is always guaranteed.
18. How do I know what carat my gold is?
